How the assessment works
Consultation
The first meeting lasts 50 minutes. We talk about what has brought you here, how long it has been going on, your history and what you expect from the assessment. Together we decide whether the full process is the right step.

Assessment sessions
The structured DIVA-5 interview, standardised questionnaires, self-report scales and an assessment of attention and executive functions, including a retrospective look at childhood. Usually 5 to 8 sessions, depending on how complex the picture is.
5 to 8 sessions, weekly or every two weeks, 260 PLN each
Written report
The psychologist analyses the results and writes a detailed report in English, covering the clinical interview, the interpretation of the results and recommendations. You go through the report together at the final meeting.

Psychiatrist
A psychiatrist who speaks English confirms the formal diagnosis and, if it is indicated, discusses treatment options with you. Same clinic, so there is no need to look for a doctor on your own.

The total depends on the number of sessions (5 to 8), which are paid for separately, by card or bank transfer at the clinic. The psychiatric consultation that confirms the diagnosis is an additional appointment (400 PLN, paid in advance). As we do not bill the NFZ, there is no need for a referral and no waiting list.

How much does the assessment cost?
The consultation costs 520 PLN and includes the written report. Each assessment session costs 260 PLN. The process consists of one consultation and 5 to 8 sessions, so the total cost starts at 1820 PLN. The number of sessions you need depends on how complex the picture is, but the cost per session stays the same.
How long does it take?
One consultation and 5 to 8 assessment sessions, held weekly or every two weeks. The total duration depends on the number of sessions and how often we meet. You receive a written report at the end.
What is DIVA-5 and why do you use it?
The DIVA-5 (Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in Adults) is a structured diagnostic interview based on the DSM-5 criteria. It covers symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity in both adulthood and childhood, the latter assessed retrospectively. We use it because it is one of the best-validated tools for diagnosing adult ADHD in Europe.
Is the report in English?
Yes. The written report, including the interpretation of the results and recommendations, is in English. You can share it with an employer, a university or another doctor.
Do I need a referral?
No. This is private care and you book directly.
Who makes the diagnosis: a psychologist or a psychiatrist?
Both, in that order. The psychologist carries out the assessment (the DIVA-5 interview, questionnaires and tests), after which a psychiatrist confirms the formal diagnosis and, if it is indicated, discusses treatment options with you. Both see patients in English at our clinic, so you do not need to go to two different places. The psychiatric consultation is a separate appointment costing 400 PLN.
Can I have ADHD if I was never diagnosed as a child?
Yes. Many adults were never assessed as children, particularly if their symptoms were not disruptive at school. The assessment includes a retrospective look at childhood, so a diagnosis in adulthood is possible.
Can the sessions be online?
No. The assessment takes place at the clinic in Katowice.
What if I need to cancel a session?
Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance and there is no charge.
