Fees

What it costs

260 PLN per session, 50 minutes

The same rate for a first consultation and for every session after it, whichever of us you see. Payment by card or bank transfer at the clinic. We do not bill the NFZ, so there is no referral to get and no queue to join.

The first session

What happens when you come in

It runs 50 minutes. You say what brought you in, how long it has been going on and what you have already tried. We ask questions, and by the end we tell you what we think would help: a few meetings, longer therapy, or something outside our remit, in which case we say where to go instead.

Living in a country whose language you are still learning is its own kind of strain, and it often sits underneath whatever brought you here. You do not have to explain that part from scratch.

If you would rather see a doctor about medication, that is a different appointment and we have psychiatrists who work in English too.

Questions

Before you write to us

Is this therapy, or a one-off conversation?

Either. Some people come once, get a clearer view of what is going on and leave with something to work with. Others start regular sessions. The first meeting is partly about working out which of the two you need.

What kind of therapy is it?

Cognitive behavioural therapy. Both of us are in CBT certification training and our work is supervised, which is the standard route in Poland. In practice it means sessions are structured and you leave with something to do between them, rather than only talking.

Do I need a referral?

No. This is private care and you book directly.

Can sessions be online?

No. We see people at the clinic in Katowice.

Do you see children?

Nicole works with teenagers as well as adults. Neither of us takes younger children in English.

Do you take NFZ or private insurance?

We do not settle with the NFZ. If your insurer reimburses out-of-network care, we issue an invoice you can submit.

How often would we meet?

Usually once a week at the start, less often later. You decide that together in the first sessions, not in advance.

What if I need to cancel?

Let us know at least 24 hours ahead and there is no charge.
